Near the town of Ponte, in the heart of ancient Sannio, you will find the Ocone Estate of Agricola del Monte. One of the great family producers of Campagia established in 1910.
2009 Diomede - Aglianico del Taburno DOCG
Grown on the Hillsides of Ponte, Sannio at an altitude of 200 to 400m, the best selection of grapes were hand-picked into baskets. The alcoholic fermentation was carried out in vertical wood vats followed by a 10 day malolactic fermentation and then stored in stainless steel prior to an ageing regimen of 12 months in barrique and 18 months in the bottle, unfiltered, in a dark and cool environment.
Intense ruby red in colour with excellent concentration Intense and refined perfumes with strong berry notes – predominantly blueberry Its palate is similar to its bouquet and amplified by a powerful structure - refined tannins and very good balance between oak and fruit.
2010 Apollo - Aglianico del Taburno DOCG
Grown on the predominatly limestore, Hillsides of Ponte vineyards at an altitude of 200-400m above sea level. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation took place in vertical wood vats then was rested in stainless steel vats for a minimum of 1 year prior to 6 months in barrique followed by 12 months bottle ageing unfiltered. Intense deep, ruby red in colour, refined delicate scents of blueberry and blackberry along with a note of vanilla from the influence of the barrique. Ample and soft on the palate with a balanced structure and finish, similar to its bouquet.
2015 Diana - Falanghina del Sannio Taburno DOP
Hand picked from south-west exposure hillside grown grapes at 300m elevation. Soft pressed after a brief maceration then fermented and stored in stainless steel. Straw yellow in colour with elegant aromas of mature exotic fruit. Full in the mouth, finishing nicely and supported by an optimal freshness.
2015 Giano - Sannio Taburno Greco DOP
Hand picked from south-west exposure hillside (predominantly clay soil) grown grapes. Soft pressed after a brief maceration then fermented and stored in stainless steel. Straw-yellow in colour with strong scents of mature fruit and floral notes. Excellent freshness in the mouth with a soft, elegant finish.
