At Casa Rojo they see wine as the expression of a family, a land, a climate, and ultimately of an origin. The historic vocation of the different Spanish wine-making regions is a legacy passed down from generation to generation. The great diversity of Mediterranean terroirs and climates provides them with a range of local grapes which remain faithful to each type of terroir. These grapes have existed since ancient times and have survived the passing trends. It is that wine-making heritage we try to express in our wines.
In an industry dominated by large powerful groups, CASA ROJO offers an innovative and groundbreaking vision. They are not distracted by the details of the bottling facility or the logistics of large wineries that add cost without adding value. Their our focus is the viticulture, oenology and design of a wine that ultimately produces nothing but pleasure when consumed. These are the measures of quality that matter, and we experience them with each drink.
2011 The Invisible Man DO Rioja (Alta)
Deep cherry colour with a violet rim denoting its youth. Good aromatic intensity of very riped red-berry fruit, hints of fine patisserie well integrated with the naunces from the barrels. Structured with soft, sweet tannins. A general hint of toasted wood, discreet and friendly, accompanies all these aromatic and taste sensations. Intense in the mouth and long in the finish.
2015 El Gordo de Circo - DO Rueda
2016 Ladrón - DO Bierzo
A year of little rain and good maturation has brought a lot of concentration into this wine. Ladrón is perhaps the most authentic wine of Casa Rojo, it comes from vineyards that are more than 140 years old; and, without aging in barrels it truly reflects the terroir. This 100% Mencía from north-west Spain (Galecia) is a non- filtered, medium bodied wine that is ruby colored with hues of purple; it posesses notes of red mulberry, plum, and undergrowth. It exhibits an authentic and expressive typicity of the Mencía grape. Versitile and should be enjoyed with a wide range of cusines.
2016 MachoMan - DO Jumilla
MachoMan Monastrell is the pure reflection of the terroir from its origin with aromas of red fruits (plum, cherry), rosemary, thyme, balsamic and menthol. Fresh, silky, long, elegant and unique. The grapes are from 13 plots of Monastrell vineyards in La Raja (where the winery is located) between the mountain ranges of El Carche and La Pila. The vines range from 20 to 70 years old, within the wine region D.O. Jumilla, in the south of Spain.
2016 Maquinon - DO Priorat
Aging is in French oak barrels for three months. The first two months malolactic fermentation takes place. It has a rich cherry red color. The intense nose is balanced between the ripe fruit of the Garnacha and the contribution of the barrel, with smoked and spiced notes. In the mouth it’s friendly, enveloping, with a sense of roundness and volume with a finish marked by ripe fruit.
2016 The Orange Republic - DO Valdeorras
