It's amazing what can happen when two Kiwis, well steeped in the wine business (in fact, one of them the father of the New Zealand Sauvignon, Bill Spence), sit down and have a beer (or two)! The other bloke, just happened to be a great a winemaker at Matua Valley the company founded by Bill and his brother Ross.

The fruit for this 100% Sauvignon Blanc wine was sourced from a single vineyard in Marlborough’s Wairau valley. To maintain freshness, this wine is screw-capped.
"Ripe citrus and mineral notes fill the nose, with a subtle character adding interest in the background. The palate shows good weight and overflows with citrus and passion fruit which is carried by mouth-watering acidity. This wine is ideal to consume immediately, but will develop more mature Sauvignon Blanc characters over the next two years."
